First informal consultation on WHO’s engagement with non-State actors
When: 17–18 October 2013, 10:00–13:00 and 15:00–18:00
Where: Executive Board room, WHO Headquarters
The Executive Board, at its 133rd session, under agenda item 5 on WHO reform (EB133/16) requested the Director-General to organize an informal consultation with Member States and non-State actors on WHO’s engagement with non-State actors. The consultation will inform the drafting of reform proposals to be submitted to the Executive Board at its 134th session in January 2014.

Presentation to informal consultation on WHO’s engagement with non-State actors
Participation
The consultation is open to Member States and non-State actors who may participate in the Executive Board room or virtually via Webex. Invitations have been sent by Circular letter to all Member States and NGOs in official relations. Other non-State actors are also welcomed to register and their participation will be examined on a case-by-case basis. Participants via Webex can send questions or remarks by email to be read in the consultation.

Additional information
The meeting will be chaired by the Director-General. All Member States and non-State actors will be provided with a name plate. Seating in the room will be on a first-come first-served basis. Interpretation in all six official languages will be available.

The consultation is open to Member States only who may participate in the Executive Board room or observe virtually via WebEx. Invitations have been sent by circular letter to all Member States.
