A/Prof Hung Nguyen Van

For the last 31 years, A/Prof Hung Nguyen Van has been working as a bacteriologist in the field of TB and pulmonology infectious diseases. He has conducted molecular epidemiologic, drug resistance, and human susceptibility and diagnostic studies for TB in Hanoi and nationwide. He has contributed to more than 70 papers from data obtained through our population-based and clinical based studies. He is interested in molecular diagnostics, and conventional bacterial TB diagnostics.

His laboratory is also focusing on training TB diagnostic techniques for technicians of the TB LAB network and ensuring the quality of these laboratories. He is keen to bring his laboratory to become one of the leading TB laboratories in South-East Asia in efforts to combatting TB in the regions following the implementation of their laboratory strategic plan.
