Biography

Andrew Marsh, PhD, is a consultant working in the Department for Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health and Ageing at the World Health Organization. He currently supports the GAMA Advisory Group in defining a set of priority adolescent health indicators and previously supported the Effective Coverage Think Tank Series for Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health and Nutrition.

He completed his public health training at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where he received a Master of Public Health and a Doctor of Philosophy in Global Disease Epidemiology and Control. His dissertation focused on validating maternally reported care-seeking for childhood illness in rural Pune district, India and formed part of the larger Improving Coverage Measurement project led by the Institute for International Programs at Johns Hopkins University.
