Biography

Dr Angelica Espinosa Miranda is a board-certified obstetrics and gynecology specialist, with a master's degree in Infectious Diseases and PhD in Public Health. She is a full professor in the Department of Social Medicine at the Federal University of Espírito Santo, Brazil, where she was the coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Infectious Diseases from 2007 to 2011 and dean for the community outreach from 2014 to 2019. She is presently serving as the Director of Programs within the Secretary of Health Surveillance and Environment at the Brazilian Ministry of Health. She has experience in the field of Medicine, with emphasis on the epidemiology of infectious diseases, working mainly with sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AIDS, viral hepatitis, and reproductive health with focus on mother-to-child transmission.
