Anissa Sidibe

Biography

Dr. Anissa Sidibe, PhD, MPH is a Principal Technical Advisor for Immunization at Jhpiego, a Johns Hopkins University affiliate, overseeing the introduction of new vaccines, including HPV, malaria, Covid-19 and RSV, in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). She specializes in integrating immunization programs into primary health care strategies, promoting life-course vaccination, and driving innovations to enhance vaccine delivery, coverage, and equity.

Previously at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, Dr. Sidibe expanded HPV vaccine introductions from 2 to nearly 30 countries by leading board-approved strategies and policies, establishing coordination mechanisms to address supply constraints, and strengthening adolescent immunization platforms. Additionally, she has experience in various infectious disease control areas, including tuberculosis (TB).

As Head of Laboratory at the Foundation Congolaise pour la Recherche Médicale (FCRM) in the Republic of Congo, Dr. Sidibe supervised the EDCTP-funded Central Africa Network on Tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, and Malaria (CANTAM) project, contributed to the Global Plan to End TB 2016–2020, and developed guidelines for managing latent TB infections in collaboration with the Stop TB Partnership and WHO Global Tuberculosis Programme. Dr. Sidibe is passionate about comprehensive disease control initiatives that integrate prevention, diagnostics, and treatment for underserved and marginalized populations.
