Armando Jose Vasquez Barrios

Biography

Armando Jose Vasquez Barrios is a physician with post-graduate studies in Public and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a graduate level in Human Resources Management and Occupational Health. Training in the manufacture of upper limb and trunk orthoses. He studied medicine at the Universidad Centro Occidental "Lisandro Alvarado" Barquisimeto, Venezuela. He worked in his home country in different positions within the Ministry of Health: General practitioner, Director of Hospital, Chief of Health District, Deputy Director of Medical Care, State Health Director, Coordinator of the National Rehabilitation Program, Deputy to the General Director of the Ministry of Health. He also worked for 20 years as a Regional Advisor on Disability and Rehabilitation from PAHO. Dr. Vásquez is a member of the Latin American Medical Association of Rehabilitation and other organizations. He has participated as a lecturer and expert invited to the International Congress.
