Biography
Arthur Reingold, MD, is Professor and Head of the Division of Epidemiology at the School of Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley. He joined the faculty there in 1987, after working at the UC CDC for eight years.
His research focuses on the prevention and control of infectious diseases in the US and in low income settings around the world, with a particular focus on vaccine preventable diseases, outbreak detection, and outbreak response.
He has served on the US ACIP and the WHO SAGE advisory committees on vaccines/vaccination and multiple committees of the US National Academy of Medicine.
