Maternal-neonatal mortality and morbidity in high-risk women, Mexico

Biography

Dr. Cinthya Muñoz-Manrique works in the Nutrition and Bioprogramming Department of the Research Division at the National Institute of Perinatology in Mexico City. Her work includes the research for prevention and care of the leading causes of maternal-neonatal mortality and morbidity in high-risk women. She has experience in the design, implementation, and data analysis of observational studies conducted in pregnancy and postpartum. Her research has focused on understanding gestational weight change's variability, impact, and strategies to guide. She has authored 19 peer-reviewed publications and three books. For more than ten years, Dr. Muñoz-Manrique has been in nutrition-care private practice for women of reproductive age, has participated as coordinator of the Perinatal Clinical Nutrition Diploma in Mexico, and has been an adjunct member of the College of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of Mexico.
