Dr Xin Shen

Dr Shen is the Director Division of Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS Prevention, Shanghai Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and has been working on TB control and scientific research for more than 20 years and has plentiful experience in policy making in public health and TB laboratory.

During the past 10 years, Dr Shen has been in charge of the TB control programme in Shanghai, China and has contributed to the establishment of the "Shanghai Tuberculosis Prevention and Control Programme (2016-2020)". Dr Shen also serves as a Member of the National Committee of Experts on Comprehensive Quality Control of Tuberculosis Prevention and Control and the Chairman of Committee of Youth, the Chinese Anti-Tuberculosis Association. Dr Shen has participated in the development of some national TB technical guidelines issued by China CDC [Ministry of Health], such as "Technical Specifications for Tuberculosis Prevention and Control in China (2020)" and various technical documents.
