Dr Zaza Tsereteli
Biography
Dr Zaza Tsereteli, born in Tbilisi, Georgia. He is an Epidemiologist, graduated with an Honors Diploma, from Tbilisi State Medical University. He has an MPH from the Royal Tropical Medical Institute (KIT), Amsterdam-Netherlands. He has more than 25 years’ international professional experience in the public health (PH) sector, incl. PH sector reforms - participating in and contributing to public health systems’ organisational processes and promoting improved health outcomes in various EU Member States (Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden), Non-Member States (Norway, Albania) and post-soviet countries (Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia, Moldova).
His experience is backed up with his work with UNODC, TF of CBSS, AIHA, IMC (Albania) and UNICEF. While working for UNICEF he led the Diphtheria, Polio and Measles mass immunization Campaigns in Georgia. He was a member of the GAVI Alliance Independent Review Committee (IRC) and a member of a Technical Review Panel (TRP) of GF to Fight HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
Dr Tsereteli is married and has two children. He is also a Rotarian.
