Esias Bedingar

Biography

Esias Bedingar, a native of Chad, recently completed his PhD in Population Health Sciences at Harvard University. His research focused on designing and implementing complex health innovations to improve children and adolescent health outcomes in fragile and conflict-affected settings. Esias aims to create a think tank to support African governments in reforming their health systems.

In addition to academia, he has worked with the Harvard Ministerial Leadership Program, advising ministers from various regions, and with UNICEF, conducting budgetary analyses to inform public finance management. His consulting work with WHO emphasised health financing reforms for universal health coverage.

Esias received his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Public Health in 2018 from the University of Kentucky and his Master of Science in Global Health and Population in 2020 from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
