Gabit Ismailov

In his role at IOS, Dr Ismailov plans, conducts and reports on comprehensive performance and integrated audits based on the WHO Results-based Management Framework. He has extensive experience in programme management and international public health.

Previously, Dr Ismailov served as a Head of the WHO Country Office in Kazakhstan, Technical Officer of the Emergency Preparedness and Response Programme in the WHO Regional Office for Europe, and Management Officer in the Division of Health Security and Emergencies at the WHO Regional Office for the Western Pacific and in the WHO Country Office in Vietnam.

He is trained as a medical doctor and holds a master’s degree in public health and a postgraduate degree in information technology.
