Dr Hanene Tiouiri Benaissa

Dr Hanene is Professor of Medicine at the University of Medicine in Tunis. From 2013 to 2021 she was the Head of the Infectious diseases department at the University of Rabta in Tunis. Prior to this position, she was the Chair of Medical Committee of the University Hospital of Rabta (2014 – 2016), the Chair of the specialized committee on antibiotics, antiparasitics and anti-fungal drugs, (Department of Pharmacy and Drugs, MoH (2010-2012) and the Chair of the national subcommittee of therapeutic and psycho-social care of persons living with HIV. Over the last 25 years, she continues being the Vice-chair of the Tunisian Society of Addictology and the Vice- chair of National Council of Physicians Order and Member of the technical committee of pharmaceutical specialties (Department of Pharmacy and Drugs, MoH). Currently, Dr Hanene is the Tunisian national WHO /AMR focal point and Member of the WHO STAG AMR, and Member of the national technical committee to fight antimicrobial resistance, and Member of the scientific Council for prevention and response to the SARS-COV-2 epidemic and the Vice-chair of the Tunisian Society of Addictology.
