Hesborn Wao

Hesborn Wao is the Head of Training, a Unit housed within the Research and Related Capacity Strengthening Division at APHRC. He is board certified in public health (NBPHE), holds a PhD in measurement and evaluation and MPH in public health administration, both from the University of South Florida (USF). 

Previously, Hesborn was a research professor, teaching and supervising graduate students. Currently, he conducts capacity strengthening mainly in areas including mixed methods research; evidence synthesis; and implementation research. In 2016, Hesborn was a Carnegie African Diaspora fellow at the University of Nairobi. Hesborn’s professional profile is available on ResearchGate.
