Biography

Dr Huda Alkitkat has a Ph.D. in Biostatistics and Demography, with more than twenty years of experience as a statistician and demographer. Her areas of interest include population estimates and population projections, mother, newborn, and child wellbeing, global burden of disease, and assessment of Civil Registration and Vital Statistics systems.

Dr. Alkitkat has also been a part of many international collaborative works, including with the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), Max Plank Institute for Demographic Research (MPIDR), International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP), UNESCO, and Centre of Excellence for Civil Registration and Vital Statistics systems.
