Jacqueline Tembo Aiken
Biography
Jacqueline Tembo is a prosthetist and orthotist born and raised in Lusaka, Zambia. Her hobbies include playing chess, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Jacqueline studied for her first degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics Science at Tumaini University in Tanzania. She has been working as a prosthetist/orthotist for over seven years and as an assistant lecturer for three years. The World Health Organization is determined to increase access to assistive technology in various settings. Jacqueline is passionate about assistive technology, primarily because she has personally benefited from the services and desires the same for others. She is dedicated to improving accessibility for the many people who require assistive technology today. As an advisor, she will work with WHO to ensure this fundamental human right is accomplished.
