Joshua Murule Mukekhe
Biography
Murule is a passionate global health advocate that leads Christian Mission Aid (CMA) health and nutrition programs in South Sudan. He is a tropical and infectious diseases specialist with more than 10 years’ experience in designing and implementing primary health care, neglected tropical diseases, and health management in a complex displacement crisis, projects. His expertise spans strategic planning, program implementation including disease outbreak preparedness and response, M&E and staff development. He is currently doing a PhD in global health at KEMRI-JKUAT in Kenya. Joshua is an ardent advocate of universal health coverage (UHC) through participatory policy making, capacity sharing, and health-system strengthening and delivery. He has collaborated extensively with vulnerable populations including returnees, and refugees, local leaders, strategic partners, and the government to steer innovative sustainable approaches to solving health and nutrition challenges in South Sudan.
