Lien Bruggeman

Lien Bruggeman is the national health coordinator at Fedasil. the Belgia federal agency responsible for the reception of applicants of international protection. She spent many years abroard working with and for internally-displaced people and refugees from different origins. For severl years, she coordinated health projects to ensure the trnasition from emergency to ost-emergency health care. Prmoting the health of refugees, migrants and the IDP has been a common thread through her work. In zimbabwe she worked closely woth the Ministry of Public Health to ensure access to HIV care for all people living in one of the districts and in RDC she has put in place primary health care projects for Internally Diplaced people. She has a master in Medicine from the University of Ghent and a postgraduate in Tropical Medicine and International Health from the Institute of Tropical Medicine of Antwerp. Health for all is essential. Each country and each individual shoul aim to promote, provide and protect health and weel-being of everyone.
