Luis Bahamondes

He obtained his medical degree at the Federal University of Cordoba, Argentina, his training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Mexican Institute of Social Security and his PhD at the University of Campinas, Brazil. He is a professor of Gynecology at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Campinas Faculty of Medical Sciences, Campinas, Brazil and president of the Campinas Research Centre for Maternal Health (CEMICAMP). He was former chair of the Steering Committee of the Strategic Alliance of WHO/HRP. He has more than 300 articles published in peer-reviewed journals and indexed in PubMed. Tutor and co-tutor of about 90 master’s and PhD students.
