Biography

Lieutenant-Colonel (Professor) Manaf Mohamed Alqahatani

Professor Manaf Alqahtani is a North America doubly qualified Adult infectious Diseases and clinical microbiologist Consultant at the Royal Medical Services of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF). He is Associate Professor of Medicine and Principle Research investigator at the Royal College of surgeons in Ireland (Medical University of Bahrain). He has a master’s degree in health care management (MBA) from Tulane University, New Orleans 

He is a Fellow at Royal College of Physicians in Ireland since June 2019. He Was Vice President Of Bahrain Medical Society from 2016-2019. He was appointed as President of Commission Disciplining Physicians National Health Regulatory Authority from 2017-2018 

He has won several awards for his contributions in Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and Patient Centered Care Initiatives. He has several international publications focused on Antimicrobial resistance and intervention strategies in Preventing Health care associated infections. He is editor for Journal of Antimicrobial chemotherapy –Antimicrobial Resistance
