Biography
Professor Maria Eugenia Grillet works on the eco epidemiology of vector-borne diseases in the Americas region. She has been member of expert committees for the Carter Center, Task for Global Health, Mectizan Donation Program, OEPA, PAHO and WHO. She has participated in the writing of some vector and Aedes control manuals for PAHO. More recently, she has been part of an external technical advisory group (PAHO) to evaluate the pilot trials of using Aedes aegypti with Wolbachia to control dengue in Colombia (2019), and Brazil (2020). Currently, she is a Full Professor at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, Venezuela.
