Mariko Hosozawa

Dr Mariko Hosozawa, MD, PhD, is a Supervisory Pediatrician and a certified Public Health Specialist with over 15 years of experience in clinical and research in child and adolescent mental health. She currently serves as a Senior Researcher at Japan’s National Center for Global Health and Medicine, where her work focuses on understanding risk and protective factors for socioemotional development and mental health at the individual and structural levels, utilising longitudinal cohort and cross-national data. She has a strong interest in improving mental health and well-being of adolescents in the general population as well as those with disabilities or chronic health conditions, and she has provided strategic technical advice on adolescent health in both domestic and international settings.
