Dr Husain is member since 2020, is now working as a Senior National Consultant of World Bank Group for developing Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Planning in Bangladesh. He is also working for Crisis Emergency and Risk Communication since 2019 till date, and working with Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR)and Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS)for COVID-19 pandemic response. Dr Mushtuq is a Member, Technical Advisory Group, Hand hygiene in health care and other infection prevention and control interventions research and guidance, World Health Organization (WHO). Member of International Health Regulations Roster of Experts of National Focal Point and Institute, Bangladesh. He joined Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR)in 1993 as Senior Scientific Officer and retired as Head of the Department and Principal Scientific Officer of Medical Social Science. He graduated from Dhaka Medical College, MPhil from INFS (Dhaka University) and PhD from University of Cambridge, UK. He is an adjunct faculty of Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh University of Professionals, North South University, James P Grant School of Public Health and other academic institutions.
