Monika Maria Moehring

Prof Dr Monika Maria Moehring is a professor at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen THM, Giessen, Germany, where she is the Managing Director of the Study Centre for Blind and Disabled Students as well as the Dean of the Faculty of Management and Communication. Drawing on a master's in natural sciences, an MBA, and a PhD in technological innovation management, her background includes research and technical product development in inclusive didactics for all ages, technical aids in the workplace, mobility, and assisted navigation. She maintains strategic research collaborations with inclusive schools, technical and didactical research groups, and disability advocacy organizations. Monika Maria Moehring has been a disability activist for many years, enforcing a fundamental verdict for disability rights with the German Federal Labour Court. A former IT professional and experienced scholar, Prof Moehring is a fellow of the International Academy, Research and Industrial Association IARIA, where she hosts annual special tracks on digital accessibility.
