Mr Faisal Fahad Binsunaid

Faisal Fahad is Director, Healthy Food Department, Saudi Food and Drug Authority, Riyadh, KSA. He has a Masters of Applied Human Nutrition from Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Canada, and a Bachelor degree in Dietetics and Clinical Nutrition from King Saud University in Riyadh, KSA.

Passionate about nutrition, Faisal worked for almost 10 years in the field of clinical nutrition at the Bone Marrow Transplant unit- King Abdulaziz Medical City (KAMC) in Riyadh, KSA. He advocated himself to provide the optimal nutritional care for both adult and pediatric patient.

In early 2018, Faisal joined the Saudi Food and Drug Authority team. His mission is to establish a national “Healthy Food Strategy” in collaboration with other government entities. In September 2018, they launched the Healthy Food strategy which focuses on improving the nutritional status of the Saudi Community through Nutrition Polices.

In 2019, Faisal was promoted to be the Director of Healthy Food Department with:
