Natalia Skogberg
Biography
Dr. Skogberg is an Associate professor in Public Health, Chief researcher, and Head of the Cultural diversity team at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare. With fifteen years of experience in high-impact research and development work in the field of migrant and ethnic minority health, her broad expertise includes non-communicable diseases, psychosocial support and mental wellbeing, health literacy, crisis communication and response, and design and implementation of population health monitoring. Key recent contributions include the methodological design, development of tools, and capacity building for mainstreaming cultural diversity, inclusivity and equity principles in complex public health settings. Dr. Skogberg actively contributes to the field of migration, displacement and ethnic minority health through publications, academic supervision and mentoring, and peer review. Among multiple working group participations, she is a steering committee member and former Active Vice President of the European Public Health Association Section on Migrant and Ethnic Minority Health.
