Professor Jing Yu

Jing Yu is a Professor of Internal Medicine, Lanzhou University and the chief of The Department of Cardiology, Lanzhou University Second Hospital. She is also a Dean of Hypertension Center of Lanzhou University. She spent a most of her time on clinical practice, medical education and medical research. She also worked as a mentor for the community doctors and nurses for the prevention and management of hypertension.
Prof Yu graduated from Lanzhou Medical College in 1984, obtained her Academy of Medical Sciences. 2008-2009, she worked as Visiting Professor of Cardiology at University of Illinois Medical Center, Chicago, U.S.A. Same as a visiting professor she also shortly studied in Amory University Hospital and Minnesota University Hospital in 2015 and 2019 respectively.
She is a member of ISH, ESH and an executive member of CHL. She also is the Chairman of hypertension committee of Gansu province. She works for the Chinese Journal of Hypertension as an Editorial Board member.
Research areas of Prof Yu’s interest are hypertension and related disease especially female hypertension, and also involved in organs damage of hypertension and metabolic syndrome, heart failure especially diastolic myocardial dysfunction. She published dozens of articles and served as a Chair or speaker of conferences related with hypertension and CME many times in ESH, ISH and WHLRC of China. One of a paper was cited by 2013 ESH/ESC hypertension guideline.
