Professor Suzanne Phelan

Professor Suzanne Phelan is a Professor of kinesiology and public health at the California Polytechnic State University, Department of Kinesiology & Public Health. Her main focus has been applying behavioral methods to promote healthy weight and cardiometabolic outcomes in women and children before, during, and after pregnancy. In clinical trial and observational studies, she seeks to understand the multi-level factors that contribute to health outcomes for pregnant and postpartum people and children and develop effective interventions that optimize health in diverse settings.
