Regina Lee
Biography
Professor Regina Lee is an internationally recognized child health nursing practitioner with a research focus on child and adolescent health interventions. She is the Acting Deputy Head at School of Nursing and Midwifery (Callaghan Campus), with an additional Head of International responsibility at the University of Newcastle, Australia. She was an External Review Group Member for the World Health Organization (WHO) Guidelines on School Health Services and the member of the WHO Technical Advisory Group (TAG) on the Educational Institutions and COVID-19, and is a Visiting Professor at the Macau University Sciences Technology in Macau. Prof. LEE is a registered nurse in Hong Kong, Canada and Australia. She has worked across a variety of roles as a paediatric nurse, public health nurse, health promotion educator, researcher and academic in Canada, Hong Kong and Australia. Prof. LEE returned to Hong Kong from Canada in 1997 and worked at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University where she was employed as Associate Professor at the School of Nursing, Faculty of Health and Social Sciences (1997-2017) and Deputy Director of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Community Health Services; and affiliated with the WHO Western Pacific Regional Office (2009-17). She acted as an Executive Member of the Global Nursing Network of WHO Collaboration Centers representing the Western Pacific Region (2012-16). Prof. LEE moved to Australia and took up her role as a Professorship in Nursing at the University of Newcastle in 2018.
