Dr Yungui Yang
Deputy Director at the Beijing Institute of Genomics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in China
Biography
Dr Yang received his BS degree in Microbiology from Fudan University in 1995 and PhD degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, CAS in 2000. He performed his postdoctoral research in the International Agency for Research on Cancer-IARC, WHO (2000-2003) and the Clare Hall Laboratories, Cancer Research UK (2005-2008). He served as a staff scientist at IARC, WHO from 2003-2005. He was elected as a foreign member of the Academia Europaea in 2020. His expertise is in the field of bioinformatics, genomics and RNA biology.
