Professor Zoubida Tazi Mezalek

Zoubida Tazi Mezalek is the Head of the Clinical Hematology Department, Professor of Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, University of Rabat, Morocco. The Department runs one of the largest programs in Morocco for hematology-oncology and thrombotic/vascular diseases. Her research focuses on the vascular and thrombotic diseases, as well as immune diseases. This has resulted in about 100 peer-reviewed publications. She is a member of the International Society of Hemostasis and Thrombosis (ISTH) and American Society of Hematology (ASH). She is the founding President of the Moroccan Society of Vascular Diseases. She is a leading national expert in antithrombotic prescribing and venous thromboprophylaxis. She is member of the Moroccan Transparency Committee. Her international activities include being on the steering committee for the European and Mediterranean League against thrombotic diseases.
