Dengue Situation Report # 11: 6 November 2023

Overview

• The weekly number of reported cases continued to decline for the sixth consecutive week. A total of 12 224 cases were reported this week compared to 12 634 for the previous week, a decrease of 3.2%. The weekly number of reported deaths was 75 this week compared to 78 in the previous week.
• Daulatpur, Shalikha, Kaliganj, Batiaghata and Satkhira Sadar upazilas of Khulna division; Lalmohon, Raipur, and Nazirpur upazilas of Barishal division and Patnitala and Puthia upazillas of Rajshahi division showed the highest number of new cases per 100 000 population and the highest rate of increase of new cases in the reporting week.
• Cumulatively since the beginning of the year, 279 case including 1 408 deaths have been reported nationwide with September 2023 recording the most cases and deaths.
