With Pandemic Fund support, WHO Bhutan Representative Dr Bhupinder Kaur Aulakh handed over Nu 19.3 million (USD 220,216) worth of advanced lab equipment and kits to the Ministry of Health for the Royal Centre for Disease Control (RCDC) — from ELISA systems to biohazard safety cabinets.

These upgrades will help detect dangerous pathogens faster — from respiratory illnesses to zoonotic diseases — enabling quicker, evidence-based action to protect public health.

Together with the Ministry of Health, we’re building a stronger, safer, and more resilient Bhutan.
