18th Baltic Policy Dialogue

7 – 8 March 2024
Riga, Latvia

The 18th Baltic Policy Dialogue, hosted by Latvia's Ministry of Health, will focus on the transformation of primary health care through digitalization, professional development and reforms. Its aim is to improve access, efficiency and health outcomes by fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and leveraging digital tools to meet the needs of an ageing population.

The event will bring together health ministers, senior advisers and decision-makers from the Baltic states. International insights will be offered by experts from WHO/Europe, the WHO European Centre for Primary Health Care, the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies, and other entities, enriching discussions with global evidence and strategies for advancing primary care in the Baltic region.

Since 2004, WHO/Europe and the European Observatory have jointly organized the Baltic Policy Dialogue series. This annual meeting convenes a select group of senior-level decision-makers in the health sector of the 3 Baltic states, including health ministers, their senior advisers and representatives from various health authorities. These subregional meetings strive to foster the sharing of experiences and best practices, and to build cross-border links and networks.
