Third hearing of the Pan-European Commission on Climate and Health

2 October 2025
09:00–12:00 CEST, Zoom

The third and final hearing of the Pan-European Commission on Climate and Health will take the discussion forward from evidence to pathways for action.

Mobilizing power: building political will for a healthy climate future

By drawing conclusions from the first 2 hearings, experts and policy-makers will explore how to drive climate and health action in the current political and societal climate. This hearing will amplify the need to scale up systematic action, strengthen governance and engage decision-makers. The discussion will centre on how to drive implementation of the right policies into practice, aimed at building resilient health systems and communities that safeguard health and well-being.

Pan-European Commission on Climate and Health

The Pan-European Commission on Climate and Health is an independent advisory group convened by WHO/Europe in June 2025 to raise the political profile, awareness and support for stronger action to address the health impacts of climate change. Through a series of 3 hearings with leading experts in the areas of climate change and health, the Commission will review evidence and experiences to develop final recommendations for accelerated health and climate action, which will be presented during the World Health Assembly in May 2026.
