Physical Activity Factsheet 2022 - Georgia

Overview

The factsheet presents the latest epidemiologic data on Georgia's physical activity and undergoing policy process in developing a National Strategy for the promotion of physical activity. It provides information on the actions adopted in the country to increase physical activity levels, which includes facilitating access to exercise facilities for socially disadvantaged groups, promoting physical activity in schools and after-school programs, improving city infrastructure to promote physical activity, and encouraging physical activity at the workplace. The factsheet is a tool to support policy makers and relevant stakeholders working to further the development and implementation of physical activity policies and strategies and for other countries to learn and be inspired by the current developments in Georgia.
