Priorities for health system recovery in Ukraine - joint discussion paper

Overview

On 24 February 2022, Russian forces launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, resulting in substantial civilian casualties, the displacement of millions of people, widespread destruction of infrastructure and disruption of health service delivery.

This joint discussion paper was prepared by WHO, the European Union Delegation to Ukraine, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission in Ukraine, and the World Bank to contribute to the ongoing dialogue on health system recovery in Ukraine. It is intended to support the elaboration of the vision and plans for early recovery efforts by describing a common vision of key priorities for the sector over the next 18–24 months.
