Application to request participation in the UN Road Safety Collaboration as an Observer

Request for participation as an observer

All organizations seeking to apply for UNRSC membership must attend at least one meeting as an observer.

Request for participation as an observer to attend the General Meeting of the Collaboration should be made to the Secretariat ahead of the meeting at the following address unrsc@who.int. Non-state actors should in addition complete and include in their request the tobacco / arms disclosure statement.

Request for participation as an observer will be considered on a case by case meeting by the Secretariat taking into consideration the following criteria:

  • involvement in activities that aim to reduce the global road safety burden and improve road safety internationally;
  • for non-state actors, absence of conflicts of interests and adverse reputational concerns as determined by the Secretariat based on its applicable policies and practices and in particular FENSA.

Terms for participation as an observer

Organizations participating as observers can attend the General Meeting and project groups but cannot participate in discussions therein or chair project groups.  However, Observers may respond to questions from Members with the approval of the Chair or Vice Chair of the General Meeting or relevant project group, as applicable.
