27-28 November | Nagarkot, Bagmati Province - The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), with support from WHO, Country Office for Nepal, organized Nepal's first workshop on developing unified treatment guidelines for childhood cancers. 17 experts on childhood cancer from different hospitals of Nepal, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (USA), and WHO participated to prepare comprehensive, evidence-based treatment guidelines, initially targeting Wilms Tumor. An eight-member writing group was formed to draft the guidelines. WHO will continue to support this initiative aimed at improving childhood cancer care in Nepal, aligning with international standards.
