WHO Mission Focal Points are invited to an Informal briefing on the Mid-term Review of the United Nations Decade of Action on Nutrition 2016-2025, which will take place on Thursday, 19 March 2020, from 12:00 to 13:30 as a WebEx event. The purpose of the briefing is to provide an opportunity for Member States to reflect on the achievements made in individual action areas of the Work Programme of the Nutrition Decade and on ways forward for the second half of the Nutrition Decade.
This event is part of a wider consultation process and will feed into and finally lead to a stand-alone High-level event on the Mid-term Review of the Nutrition Decade with Member States in New York. This will also be an important stepping stone on the road to the Nutrition for Growth Summit in 2020 and the UN Food System Summit in 2021, which offer important opportunities for new commitments to achieve maximum impact in the fight against malnutrition in all its forms, leaving no one behind.
