On 3 December 2020, over 80 members of the United Nations Road Safety Collaboration (UNRSC) convened virtually to discuss the implementation of the latest UN General Assembly Resolution Improving Global Road Safety (A/RES/74/299).
This was the 6th UNRSC virtual plenary event for the year 2020 in the context of the COVID 19 situation preventing the tenure of in-persons meetings.
The proposed focus for the discussion was the outline for the Global Plan of Action of the Second Decade of Action on Road Safety as developed by the WHO-RCs taskforce pursuant OP 4 of A/RES/74/299. Members were also debriefed on progress made in planning the 2021 global road safety week and the discussions of the project group on monitoring.
