Global Air Pollution and Health - Technical Advisory Group(GAPH-TAG): First Meeting

In 2021, WHO established an independent expert group, the Global Air Pollution and Health - Technical Advisory Group (GAPH-TAG) to advise on methods and data for health impact assessment of air pollution and for assessing the co-benefits of climate action. The GAPH-TAG is also expected to advise on desert dust and health and on interventions and policies to address the health impacts of air pollution, that will feed into the global agenda on non-communicable diseases.

The roles and responsibilities, scope and purpose, and operational modalities of the GAPH-TAG are described in its Terms of Reference.

The 1st GAPH-TAG meeting was hold virtually, 8 September 2021.
