The Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA) will convene
its 101st meeting on 15 to 21 October 2025 to reassess the safety of arsenic as
a food contaminant. This evaluation, scheduled by the FAO/WHO Secretariat in
response to a request from the Codex Committee on Contaminants in Foods, aims to
update the toxicological profile and exposure estimates for arsenic in the food
supply.
