PAHO/WHO enhanced the capacity of the Ecuadorian Ministry of Public Health to manage and analyze COVID-19 epidemiological data, by donating technical equipment to be used in the Ministry's Situation Room. This will make it possible to provide accessible, timely and transparent data on the COVID-19 pandemic and generate valuable real-time information data to support the country's decision-making on the pandemic. The PAHO/WHO representative in the country also highlights the importance of a solid supply chain system to support this and other countries with the provision of supplies and equipment to combat COVID-19 at competitive prices and in a transparent manner.
