WHO Europe: New COVID-19 response country update hubs

15 September 2020

The WHO Regional Office for Europe (WHO/EURO) recently created new web pages that help donors and others follow the COVID-19 response in individual countries in real time.

The pages bring together official updates, social media posts, videos, safety recommendations and more to showcase how WHO is fighting the pandemic on the country level.

Created by WHO/EURO, the pages allow countries a quick and dynamic way to highlight their work in both national and official WHO languages.

COVID-19 response feeds are now available for Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, North Macedonia, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, and Ukraine

The pages respond to a demand by WHO Member States to have a quick and efficient way to share updates about their COVID-19 response.

Throughout the crisis, the WHO Regional Office for Europe has played a key coordination and support role to Member States. It has been taking concerted action to support governments through the various stages of protective measures. WHO/EURO has been also delivering guidance, policy recommendations and sending support and emergency teams to countries to assist and advise national responses.
