The WHO Trauma Care Checklist was launched on 18 August 2016 at the World Trauma Congress in New Delhi, India, in collaboration with the Government of India and the WHO Global Alliance for Care of the Injured.
The Checklist is a simple tool, designed for use in emergency units. It reviews actions at two critical points to ensure that no life-threatening conditions are missed and that timely, live-saving interventions are performed.
Developed and validated through a large global collaboration, the WHO Trauma Care Checklist is appropriate in any setting delivering emergency care for the injured, and can be easily adapted to local needs.
