30 November 2018 – On the eve of World AIDS Day 2018 focused on “Know your status” and scale up of HIV testing services (HTS), WHO launches a new interactive data visualization tool “WHO HTS Dashboards”.
This interactive tool provides an overview of latest available data from countries to track progress towards achieving the first 90 target, a part of UN 90-90-90 targets. HTS Dashboards include mapping of current services and policy indicators for HIV testing services in specific countries to guide them in strategic planning and rollout of HTS.
The metrics included in the dashboards where selected in consultation with experts from the WHO HIV testing technical working group, research partners, local and international implementing partners, donors and representatives from the Ministries of Health.
Data included are provided by Global AIDS Monitoring, US PEPFAR, Demographic and Health Survey, Population-based HIV impact assessment survey, the World Bank, Ministries of Health, UNAIDS, UNICEF and other UN agencies.
The HIV Testing Services dashboards are also available through WHO HTS Info app for smartphones and tablets.
