Report of the WHO consultation on digital technologies for tuberculosis

Overview

The report summarizes the proceedings of a 3-day WHO consultation held in Geneva in November 2022 to discuss recent developments in digital technologies relevant for tuberculosis prevention and care. The objectives of this meeting were to present ongoing work that WHO is engaged in for the coming years on different aspects of digital technologies for TB; to discuss country programme and partner experiences on the use of different digital technologies to enhance the implementation of TB services; and to discuss the implications of results from the ASCENT project, other studies in China and South Africa, and evidence reviews on effectiveness and cost from the perspective of national programmes, donors and implementation partners related to digital adherence technologies. The target audience of the report largely reflect the broad constituency of the meeting participants, namely content experts, staff of Member States working in tuberculosis services, WHO staff, other technical experts and funding partners.
