Overview
The WHO Ageing and Health Unit, part of the Department of Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health and Ageing, in collaboration with the Frailty in Ageing research group at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, established a Vitality Capacity Working Group and organized a virtual meeting attended by 20 experts representing the six WHO regions on 8–9 December 2021.
The aims of the meeting were to (i) review the conceptual framework for vitality capacity in older people, (ii) discuss
the attributes of vitality capacity and (iii) develop a working definition of vitality capacity.
