Country cooperation strategy for WHO and Saudi Arabia 2024-2026

WHO and Saudi Arabia CCS

Overview

The Country Cooperation Strategy for WHO and Saudi Arabia, 2024–2026, is the outcome of a series of consultations with the Ministry of Health and other stakeholders and is based on the critical analysis of the country’s needs and WHO’s comparative advantage in addressing health challenges. It sets out a strategic agenda with the following three strategic priorities:

1. Strengthen the health system to achieve and sustain universal health coverage (UHC) through support for implementing the Health Sector Transformation Program;

2. Enhance health system resilience and capacity to address health security and public health emergencies, preparedness and response;

3. Address the socioeconomic and environmental determinants of health.

Considering the dynamic health situation in the country, WHO and the Ministry of Health will closely monitor the implementation of the CCS during its three-year period to adjust its Country Support Plans and the Country Office’s capacity, if required.
